Book publishing is an important outreach effort of WISE. Although a great deal of work is being carried out in the field of sustainable energy and development (particularly renewable energy), we are faced with a knowledge-deficit crisis emanating from lack of accurate technical information and non-availability of analytical research studies on the subject. WISE Press plays a key role in filling that void.

CORE ACTIVITIES

• Conceptualising and generating essays on various unexplored subjects pertaining to sustainable energy and development.
  
  
• Publication of cutting-edge books on sustainable energy, energy conservation, and sustainable development.
  
  
• Publication of reports, monographs, etc., that provide timely, up-to-date and comprehensive information on current and existing issues in sustainable energy and development.

FUTURE DIRECTIONS

• To make books from WISE Press more practical and relevant, we seek to draw on the tacit knowledge of practitioners and convert it into explicit, articulated information in the form of readable texts supported with appropriate illustrations.
  
  
• WISE Press intends to publish a series of short introductory texts on various sources of renewable energy such as wind, biomass, and the sun.
